Engagement protocol

Four steps from first contact to mandate.

We work only with introduced or written-in principals. The protocol below protects both sides and is non-negotiable.

    Written introduction

    A short email outlining the principal, the question and the time horizon. No attachments at this stage.

  2. 02

    Scoping conversation

    A confidential exchange — by encrypted channel where appropriate — to test fit and rule out conflicts.

  3. 03

    Mutual NDA

    Signed before any sensitive material is exchanged. Sentinel provides a template; client counsel may amend.

  4. 04

    Mandate letter

    A short, written mandate defining scope, deliverables, fee and confidentiality terms. Work begins on counter-signature.
